WHERE IS SELDOVIA LOCATED?
Seldovia is located on the lower Kenai Peninsula across Kachemak Bay from Homer. On the same latitude as Oslo, Norway, the community is nestled between snow-capped mountains on the clear water of Seldovia Bay. On a clear day, looking out over Kachemak Bay and historical Cook Inlet, one can see four active volcanoes, Mt. Augustine, Illiamna, Redoubt and Spur.
HOW DO I GET TO SELDOVIA?
Seldovia is easily accessible by air or water.
AIR - Several Homer based air taxis provide frequent service to Seldovia, a scenic 10 minute flight. Call 907-235-8591 or 907- 235-1511.
CAR FERRY - The Alaska Marine Highway vessel "Tustemena" operates between Seldovia, Homer and Kodiak. Call 907-235-8499 for schedule information.
TOURS - You can also take a scenic 1.5 hour coastal tour from Homer.
